THE ROLE Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager – Sales is their key driver of performance growth. We are seeking a technically strong General Manager – Sales to lead the operating markets (NZ, Australia, and Chile) and Export markets. This is a newly created role, which has been put in place to take the business to the next level. As a key member of the executive team, your accomplishment in this role will be defined by your ability to develop and drive strategic direction, deliver profitable sales growth and to lead a high-performance sales culture, while driving the operational success of your teams. The business has a firm belief that the quality of their leaders has the biggest impact on their work environment and business outcomes, therefore a focus on strategic leadership of your team and across the business will be a critical focus of the role. Your responsibilities will include taking a strategic approach considering market analytics and trends, building key relationships in markets to leverage opportunities, and developing partnerships with distributors, retailers, and end users to develop insights and drive results. There is huge potential for opportunities to improve market penetration, build brand profile and to enhance performance of the range of products. THE PERSON To be successful, you will need to: · Be operating at a senior leadership or executive level, with a background in change leadership and business improvement · Well-developed commercial acumen along with multi-market / export experience · Have a background in sales and/or marketing · Have a robust understanding of sales fundamentals and how to translate into profit realisation across multiple markets and sales channels · Exceptional relationship management, project management and negotiation skills · Possess excellent planning and execution skills to enable you to bring your strategy to life · Believe in opportunity, accountability and driving change · Be highly competent at analytics, CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) · Be approachable and empathetic In addition, you will possess: · 5+ years’ leadership experience as a Senior Sales Management professional · A proven track record in multi-market sales management · Experience in SME Business Environment · A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field In return, you will be part of a collaborative leadership team that drives strategy throughout the business.
